I am so excited be partnering and doing a giveaway with entertainment marketing agency Think Jam, media company STX Entertainment and motion picture company Universal Pictures for the Digital HD release of the hit movie “Bad Moms,” starring Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate, Kristen Bell, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kathryn Hahn and Annie Mumolo. I absolutely love the cast line-up and the chemistry they all have on camera!
Disclaimer: Personal opinions are my own. I am not being paid by Think Jam, STX Entertainment or Universal Pictures to promote this movie.
Storyline: Amy (Mila Kunis) has a seemingly perfect life: a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a career. However, she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point that she’s about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms (Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn) on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities by going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence, putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn (Christina Applegate) and her clique of devoted perfect moms (Jada Pinkett Smith and Annie Mumolo).
My Review: First of all let’s get this out of the way: I am not a mom and even I loved this movie. It’s hilarious. After seeing all of the frustrations that moms could possibly go through, I have even more of an understanding and respect for them. Not all moms are built to be perfect and it’s the mistakes that make the best lessons and memories. Now I know what is possibly ahead of me if and when I become a mom!
This is a funny movie that is perfect for a girls night in, only a 1 hour and 40 minute run time. It is also rated “R,” so if you choose to have your under age 17 kid watch this, best to accompany them.
Rating: 9/10.
Release Dates: The Digital HD edition comes out on Oct. 18, 2016 and the Blu-Ray and DVD editions come out on Nov. 1, 2016. The editions also feature deleted scenes, a gag reel and cast and mom interviews, which are collection of intimate moments between the leading cast, including Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith, Annie Mumolo and their moms.
What’s also exciting is STX Entertainment announced recently that a spinoff is being made called “Bad Dads,” set to hit theaters in July 2017.
Giveaway Contest: Because I love this movie so much, I am giving away a free Digital HD link to one of my lucky readers! The contest runs now all the way until Oct. 28, 2016 on my personal Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. All you have to do is comment/reply below the social media post and share the “worst” (aka funny) thing you’ve done as a “bad mom” because let’s face it, you moms have all been there! If you’re not a mom, tell me what your mother did during your childhood that you consider to be “bad.” Best comment wins and I will announce the winner on my pages and send you a personal message.
UPDATE: Congratulations to Tina DeLeeuw of Minneapolis, MN! She is the winner of the Bad Mom’s giveaway contest!
Tina had the funniest and most adorable post about what happened when she took her son to ice skating classes! She says: “My son was taking skating classes a few years ago. We were in a rush to get him on the ice and when he got on the ice he was having a really hard time skating, which wasn’t normal because he had been skating a couple years. The instructor yelled over the glass to me that his skates were on the wrong feet and everyone heard! I decided to keep my head up and laugh it off. I played the ‘I’m tired because I have a baby card’ and made a mistake. I walked over and switched his skates, then went and sat back down to watch while others talked about it amongst themselves. Oops!”
Ha ha cute and funny! Enjoy the movie Tina and let me know what you think! 🙂
