So I have been debating whether or not to blog about my experience of going to a psychic a few weeks ago, but I decided, hey, what have I got to lose, right?

I think everyone at one point in their lives wonder if the supernatural/spiritual world really does exist. I started to become somewhat interested in possibly getting a reading when I went to Sedona. The problem was that just for a 30 minute reading it was $55+. It was overly priced because you are in “the vortex.”

When I came back to SoCal, I Googled the best ones near me and came across one called Mockingbird Moon. I found a 30 minute reading for $40 and immediately booked it online.

Going into my reading, I was very excited yet skeptical and nervous. I had also read about all of the tarot cards a day prior to understood what they all meant. I learned the Death card doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to die, but it’s a transformation. So that put me at ease!

My psychic sat me down, set the timer for 30 minutes and made me record the reading on my cell phone. She also warned me that the readings are only 3-year predictions and that there have been a lot of Cancers (zodiac sign, such as myself) that have been coming to see her!

She immediately told me that she felt the presence of an uncle, which I told her that I did not have an uncle that recently passed, but did have a couple in ill health. She also told me my grandmother was present. I told her I was closer to my dad’s mom (passed away in 2001) than my mom’s mom (passed away in 2018). She said it was my mom’s mom who was present.

She told me the one thing that is set in stone was that I was “always be successful and wealthy.” I am always doing something with business, so that couldn’t be more true!

We then went into the following categories as she laid tarot cards down on the table:

Love. I might have a guy come into my life in 3 more years, but that doesn’t mean he’s “the one.” Very well, I have to focus on this master’s degree at the moment anyway. She also told me I have had a “series of disappointments” over many years. Very accurate, as I am aware of my many lessons I have learned, especially over the past 5 years.

She started telling me about the Law of Attraction, the belief that the universe creates and provides for you based on your thoughts, and that that’s how I should get the right guy in my life.

Okay, so I am completely jaded on the Law of Attraction, only because I believe in order to accomplish something or make a change, you need to set forth and put effort into doing it, not sit round thinking it might come to you. I told her even in years past when I have “manifested” love or tried at it, it still never came to me.

“Well, then you aren’t believing in it!” she said. Oh sure, put the blame on me. Things in life either happen or don’t happen for a reason based on effort, that’s just my belief system. I don’t think people who are trying online dating (not myself, just speaking about others out there) are “manifesting” it, they are scrolling and reading to see who might be a good fit to get to know.

Health. I don’t have any major health problems but she saw something that had to do with a draining. All I’ll say to you guys is, I know what she means, and I won’t get into it except it’s periomenopause symptoms (I’m 40 now, remember?).

Family. She saw a male in my family possibly ending up in the hospital in another 1-2 years and that I would have to go home to Florida and work remotely for awhile.

She also asked if I had a baby brother and if I had spoken to him recently. I told her I have a half brother on my birth dad’s side (I was adopted) but that I also had a half sister and that’s who I had chatted with recently on Facebook.

Career. She told me that, again, I will be successful and wealthy and that a good opportunity is coming my way soon (Ace of Wands card). Yay! She said I would be “working remote bicoastal.” Hmmm…

She also told me she saw guys named Jack, Robert and Andy (or Randy) coming into my life as “business partners” before the end of the year. Oooookay! I did meet my stylist’s ex-boyfriend, Randy, when I went to get my hair colored last weekend, but it wasn’t a business partner.

Other. She said I will be investing in real estate in 2021 and that I shouldn’t be waiting.

Overall, the reading was somewhat spot but at times a bit off. Obviously, they can’t be perfect. So would I do a psychic reading again? Probably not, although it was a very fun and insightful experience. Oh! And she did draw the Death card, but it had no significance about my future.

Would you see a psychic or have you seen one? Let me know! 🙂
