Descanso Gardens Enchanted Forest of Light

I wanted to to Descanso Garden’s Enchanted Forest of Light last year but decided to go to the Lightscape show at the LA County Arboretum instead. I am so glad I got to see it this year!

The route was 1 mile around the gardens and had 10 different sections, including the stained glass creations, sparkling geometric installations, Flower Power and cool lighting effects in the Ancient Forest. It was definitely a more calming/relaxing experience versus Lightscape where it was full of techno and hip music!

I just upgraded my iPhone to the 14 ProMax and it shoots so amazing in the dark! The shots were hardly blurry and very vibrant.

Arizona State Alumni Holiday Cruise

After I joined the Arizona State Alumni LA Chapter, I learned the Arizona State Alumni Orange County Chapter hosts an annual holiday dinner cruise in the Balboa Island area of Newport Beach! I used to live in OC from 2010-2011 in Anaheim and I would go to Newport Beach all the time, I absolutely loved it!

As you guys know, I left OC because I found a full time job in Santa Barbara and I stayed up on the Central Coast for 10 years. Sometimes I wonder what life would’ve been like had I just toughed it out and stayed in OC to find a full time job instead, but I was incredibly desperate for full time pay and benefits at the time – and you know what? It turned out pretty well IMO! Things in life happen for a reason. 🙂

The cruise was 2 hours and I loved meeting other fellow Sun Devil alumni!

Blitzen’s Pop Up Holiday Bar at Here and Now

I have been wanting to go to Blitzen’s for a couple years now and I finally made it happen! Every year around the holidays and July, the Here and Now bar in the LA Arts District hosts the holiday pop up bar with festive drinks, decor and even snow outside of the business! I went with my friends Nicole and Fred and we had an absolute blast. We had 2 drinks each ($14 – $18) and the holiday mugs were so cute, I actually Googled and I found replicas from Amazon, Target and Pottery Barn! We also ordered Baked Brie ($28), Biscuits ‘N Butter with fig jam butter ($11) and I got myself a Chicken Tamale ($9).

Guys BTW, I apologize but I forgot to take photos when I was there because I was so focused on filming the TikTok! These are screenshots from the video. I tried to adjust a few of them as best as I could and our table was also in a blue lit area.
