Hi guys!

I was listening to the Amy Robach and TJ Holmes podcast this afternoon and they were discussing a list they made about things they learned in 2023. I found it very inspirational and I decided to make my own and share it with you.

Enjoy! 🙂

  1. That sometimes a chronic illness can take longer to recover for some people than others.
  2. That hiking is freeing and a blessing to allow your body to move in different ways.
  3. That even if you talk to people on and off on social media and there are good vibes, they can unfollow you.
  4. Even if you are feeling at your worst, appreciate the time with parents as they age.
  5. That it’s ok to rest more and not always be on the go.
  6. To embrace more activities and sites in the community.
  7. That I can still accomplish goals even with a chronic illness.
  8. That I eventually would like a relationship one day.
  9. To cherish relationships with friends and family more.
  10. Doctors don’t always have the answers even if they sound reassuring.
  11. That I can’t always control everything and to be at peace without expectations.
  12. That my body has a high sensitivity to prescription drugs.
  13. That I can still inspire people even if I am not feeling my best.
  14. Just when you think you know everything, there is so much hidden history at museums.
  15. Even if I put my freelance career on hold, people you work with are still by your side waiting for your return.
  16. I can never go on a boat, rollercoaster or downhill snow tubing ever again…and that’s ok.
  17. To embrace your body and health.
  18. That the world needs peace and understanding more than ever.
  19. That people really do listen to you even when you think they’re not.
  20. That multitasking isn’t always a good thing.
  21. That inner change needs to occur in order to get better every day.
  22. That taking a break from being on top it it (e.g., news events) to focus on you is ok.
  23. That I need to try and forgive others and myself more.
