Hi guys!
I was listening to the Amy Robach and TJ Holmes podcast this afternoon and they were discussing a list they made about things they learned in 2023. I found it very inspirational and I decided to make my own and share it with you.
Enjoy! 🙂
- That sometimes a chronic illness can take longer to recover for some people than others.
- That hiking is freeing and a blessing to allow your body to move in different ways.
- That even if you talk to people on and off on social media and there are good vibes, they can unfollow you.
- Even if you are feeling at your worst, appreciate the time with parents as they age.
- That it’s ok to rest more and not always be on the go.
- To embrace more activities and sites in the community.
- That I can still accomplish goals even with a chronic illness.
- That I eventually would like a relationship one day.
- To cherish relationships with friends and family more.
- Doctors don’t always have the answers even if they sound reassuring.
- That I can’t always control everything and to be at peace without expectations.
- That my body has a high sensitivity to prescription drugs.
- That I can still inspire people even if I am not feeling my best.
- Just when you think you know everything, there is so much hidden history at museums.
- Even if I put my freelance career on hold, people you work with are still by your side waiting for your return.
- I can never go on a boat, rollercoaster or downhill snow tubing ever again…and that’s ok.
- To embrace your body and health.
- That the world needs peace and understanding more than ever.
- That people really do listen to you even when you think they’re not.
- That multitasking isn’t always a good thing.
- That inner change needs to occur in order to get better every day.
- That taking a break from being on top it it (e.g., news events) to focus on you is ok.
- That I need to try and forgive others and myself more.
