Whenever I go and visit my friend Nicole and her husband, Fred, in Burbank, I always have to stop at my favorite restaurant: La Bamba. I swear, it’s addicting and you will always want to come back for more. I feel like this restaurant doesn’t get enough talk and it’s worth the drive if you live further away.

La Bamba has a wide variety of authentic Cuban/Island food, I would say my favorites are the chicken tacos or the plantains. The black beans are to die for, they are slightly sweetened and just so yummy. Black beans are high in antioxidants, so they are healthy for you as well! Nicole had the Shrimp Quesadillas (pictured above) and ate every bite!

I also always order a Red Sangria, it’s so refreshing and easy to sip.

Something that I became addicted to the last time I visited in August was their Cuban coffee. It’s one strong cup of coffee but damn is it heavenly! This visit the coffee machine was broken, so I settled for some mint chip gelato instead. It was good!

During the hotter months the restaurant is left open and in the winter months they cover up the windows. The staff is always warm and helpful, it’s a fun and friendly atmosphere and a great place to bring your friends, family and make memories!
